BTS’ YNWA album won first place in album sales for the first quarter of 2017, with roughly 719,000 copies sold.
The number one selling album in the first quarter was YNWA by BTS. Including previous albums, BTS’ albums volume share within the top 100 albums for first quarter was 26%.
Compared to 2016’s fourth quarter music market share, CJ E&M recorded 31.2% after increasing 9.1%, LOEN Entertainment recorded 27.1% after a decrease of 5.8% and KT Music recored 25.8% of the share, which has gone down by 0.7% since the last quarter.
Albums that led to a rise in LOEN Entertainment’s market share include BTS’ ‘YNWA’, Highlight’s ‘CAN YOU FEEL IT?’, and Monsta X’s ‘THE CLAN pt. 2.5 [BEAUTIFUL]’
