#BTS Jungkook is listed as one of the idols whose debut as solo artists are anticipated .
The craze for an idol’s solo debut is high. Throughout the years, Girls’ Generations’ Taeyeon and Tiffany, Infinite’s Woohyun, SHINee’s Jonghyun, and F(x)’s Luna have debuted as solo artists. More solo debuts are still predicted throughout the 2nd half of the year.
Even though a group is most beautiful as a whole, standing out as an individual member is difficult. At this point, a solo promotion is a chance that idols can’t miss out on, especially those who are the ‘hidden jewel’ or ‘voice-tone bully’* in the group. That’s why we’ve searched for them. Who are the members that are the ‘hidden jewel’ or ‘voice-tone bully’ that haven’t released a solo album yet?
Jungkook is in charge of being BTS’ main vocal. He is the youngest member in the group and is showered with lots of love from fans. There is a reason why he seems to receive love endlessly as the main vocal. It is because of his soulful vocals (when singing). He has a voice that is reminiscent of the vocals of soulful pop singers.
Jungkook’s charm could be listened through BTS songs, including ‘좋아요(I Like You)’, ‘하루만(Just One Day)’, and ‘Let Me Know’. He has a slightly higher tone (when singing) compared to his usual (speaking) voice. The gentle voice charm he has distinguishes him from other singers. We can’t leave out the songs he covered. The song that is loved the most is his cover of ‘Paper Hearts’ by Tori Kelly, which he uploaded through BTS’ blog. Like the anticipation for member Suga’s upcoming mixtape release in the second half of the year, Jungkook’s solo debut will be worth anticipating as well.
(T/N: -* “Voice-Tone bully” is a Korean phrase that means when someone has a very good voice. Adding the word “깡패”(bully) is a trend in South Korea nowadays. E.g: “음원깡패” (literally “album bully”) is someone who sweeps the charts.)
